Lip Balm Recipe


I like to make this lip balm for the country market and fairs.
This will fill about 30 10ml. containers.

1 cup grape seed oil
1 1/2 bars bees wax (50ml.)
1 Tablespoon vitamin E oil
Primrose oil approximately 5 drops
Borage oil approximately 5 drops
10 drops essential oil
This can bee orange ,mint ,lemon or what ever you like
It can be a stronger scent if you add more essential oil.

Melt wax in a double boiler,
Add to warm oil.
When blended add Vitamin E oil
evening primrose and borage oil.
To check if firm enough put some oil on a spoon
and place in the freezer for a moment .
If you want it softer and more oil .
If you want it harder and more wax.

Grape seed oil is great for the skin.
It also dose not burn easily when you need to add it to bees wax.

This is the basic recipe I add and change ingredient some times.
