About Us

A lucky brake and an experiment gone right.

We are a small apiary, having kept bees for over 10 years in Pass Lake.
We have to day 19 colonies .
Our isolated location has protected us from the bee mite.
One of a hand full of places in the world without this
devastating parasite.
We do not treat our bees.
We sell bees locally, and abroad by mail. see Our Products
Many people during the summer months enjoy viewing
The Observation Hive
We sell honey, candles, beeswax lip balm at the Country Market in Thunder Bay.
Our farm also produces Pick Your own Strawberries and Produce.

Curly & Nicky
Curly looking at frame with bees
Nicole & reluctant beekeeping dog, Piper.

The bees don't like Pipper, I think because she is black.
They sting her.
She is a good bear dog,
Barking in the middle of the night,a low woof...woof...
and what do you know , it's a bear.
Also good company in the strawberry patch,
when your bent nose to the ground
picking the nice big berry
, too busy to notice a bear.
